The Purpose of Rotary

 The object of Rotary is to encourage and cultivate the ideal of service considered as a basis for any honorable company, and in particular to encourage and cultivate: 

1. The development of personal relationships of friendship among its members to provide them with opportunities to serve the public interest. 

2. Observation of high standards of probity and discretion in the exercise of any profession; effort to honor his profession and raise the level to better serve society. 

3. The application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to his personal life, professional and social. 

4. The mutual international understanding, goodwill and love of peace, by creating and maintaining worldwide cordial relations between the representatives of various professions, united in the ideal of service.
